Gesture Recognition and Control –  Laboratory, Operating Rooms

For reliable gesture recognition, maximum spectral contrast must be achieved by specific optical filter elements. Therefore, maximum transmission in the range of the illumination wavelength (Laser or LED source) for a wide field of view is required. Additionally, the transition between the high transmission pass region and the directly adjacent deep blocking region is generally required to be extraordinarily steep to precisely select exclusively the illumination wavelength for detection. Filters sizes and spectral requirements can be customized and combined with B-stage epoxy or Gelot™ solderable coating frames for optional sealing and protection of the sensor.
