Lids for Microdisplays

The optical performance of a microdisplay depends highly on the quality of its cover glass. It is not only an outstanding spectral performance of the antireflection coating – state-of-the-art defect levels and excellent cosmetics of the glass surface play an important role. Optics Balzers has extended these capabilities to substrates up to 200 mm discs to support Wafer Level Packaging requirements – including chrome apertures and features for ease of assembly of the lid to the sensor.
